Терціарії в підпіллі: мирянські організації УГКЦ на Прикарпатті у 70-х–80-х роках ХХ ст.

Abstract

The article analyses the place and importance of secular associations within religious congregations (“Third Orders”) in the structure and activity of the clandestine Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. As their activities were omitted in the Soviet documents the author based his research on the memories and testimonies of active participants of this movement. They confirm that in 1975–1977 in Ivano-Frankivsk region the special lay associations, the Third Orders of St. Basil and the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer were established. They occupied an intermediate position between the monastic and secular ways of life and played a significant role in the way the UGCC functioned underground until the late 1980s, when it came into the open. Розглянуто місце та значення світських відгалужень чернечих згромаджень (“тре- тіх орденів”) у структурі й діяльності підпільної Української Греко-Католицької Церкви (УГКЦ). Констатуючи “мовчанку” офіційних радянських документів про терціаріїв, покладено в основу джерельної бази дослідження спогади та свідчення активних учас- ників цього руху. Доведено, що в 1975–1977 рр. на теренах Івано-Франківської обл. було створено особливі об’єднання мирян – треті ордени редемптористів і василіан, які займали проміжне становище між чернечим та світським способом життя й відіграли помітну роль у забезпеченні нелегального функціонування УГКЦ аж до її виходу з підпілля наприкінці 80-х років ХХ ст.
